Houston County Fire Department McKinnon station burned down last week. The cause is unknown, and fortunately no one was hurt. Oddly enough the article in the times Stewart Houston not paying as much as a nod to the irony of the fire station of catching fire. By the time Stewart Houston:
"Houston County fire station Burns" (of Fortean Times)by Houston County Fire Chief David Hardin, was bought one the truck a 2,000 gallon tanker from County for $20,000 in the last year, and the other was a 1972-utility vehicle, which was in perfect condition...
Between the truck and the sheet-metal building Hardin estimated the McKinnon destruction at more than $ 100,000.
