Post Canada unveils its stamp of royal wedding

Posts Canada has unveiled a pair of commemorative stamps marking the marriage of Prince William and Kate Middleton.

Domestic and international rate stamps will be issued on 29 April, day of the marriage of the couple, and Royal watchers will be able to buy at all post offices at the Canada, online or by correspondence.

Domestic stamp shows a photo of the couple when they announced their engagement last November, and the patch international-rate door of official engagement portrait by photographer Mario Testino.

Prince William and the Queen approved the stamps, which were created by graphic designer Isabelle Toussaint Montreal. Post Canada said that it will produce more than 16 million stamps royal wedding.

The last royal wedding by post Canada stamp was published in 1948 to honor the marriage of grandparents of William, the Queen and Prince Philip, 1947.
