Thermophiles lurking in your basement

Be lurking exotic forms of life in your home can, and a new citizen science project trying to find it. Thermophilic micro-organisms similar to those who have been in the hot springs of Yellowstone life in domestic water heaters forty years ago identified. Now, with the support of the NASA Astrobiology Institute, researchers people hot the spring in their own basement try demand. By sampling, scientists home water heaters, learn more about the types of life that we can find beyond the Earth.
