During a visit to Ben "Science bad" Goldacre's apartment in London recently, he played me some fantastic cuts off a compilation LP entitled "London is the place for me: from Trinidad and Tobago Calypso in London, 1950-1956." This incredible music meet the global scene during the massive Caribbean migration in the United Kingdom from about 1948. I know next-to nothing about Calypso, but a signer I was familiar with something the famous Aldwyn Roberts is also known as Lord Kitchener. (In fact, the record Ben played me Kitchener's most famous song named.) Kitchener emigrated to London from Trinidad, via Jamaica. Amazingly, as Kitchener's boat, that rich, June 1948 moved Windrush in the British port 22, journalist interviewed him about his young career as a singer. As Ben, said if he sent me this clip, "it so much and is unlikely to have something on film." "Some guy, a boat, get off, short for massively famous is, singing into the microphone of the BBC."
